{"id":6992,"date":"2024-09-26T15:47:15","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T13:47:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.isrec.ch\/?p=6992"},"modified":"2024-10-21T09:12:35","modified_gmt":"2024-10-21T07:12:35","slug":"congratulations-to-prof-denis-migliorini-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.isrec.ch\/en\/congratulations-to-prof-denis-migliorini-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations to Prof. Denis Migliorini"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Congratulations to Prof. Denis Migliorini, M.D., holder of the ISREC Foundation chair in brain tumor immunology: he and his colleagues at the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) have achieved a significant breakthrough in the treatment of glioblastoma, the most common and aggressive form of brain cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Migliorini\u2019s team has succeeded in identifying a specific marker on the surface of tumor cells and in generating CAR-T immune cells capable of targeting and killing diseased cells while sparing healthy tissues.
