Congratulations to our director, Prof. Francis-Luc Perret, who was awarded the COBATY Prize 2018. The COBATY Prize recognizes people, companies, associations or projects having significantly contributed to the positive influence of the act of building in a broad sense of the term, be it in the construction sector, in urban planning or in the environment of the Lausanne region.
The ISREC Foundation supports 5 students within the scope of the “Summer Research Program for Undergraduate Students” – EPFL School of Life Sciences, and 5 students in the “Summer Undergraduate Research Program” – Faculty of Biology and Medicine, University of Lausanne.
During these eight weeks of hands-on training, the selected young biologists or physicians are given the chance to discover the world of research for the very first time; a rewarding experience and the opportunity to establish new contacts on an international level. At the end of the program, the students will present their work during a mini symposium held at the EPFL campus.

Congratulations to Prof. Elisa Oricchio, supported by the ISREC Foundation, on her publication in the renowned journal “Blood”. Her research groups have identified a mechanism that confers resistance against a common therapy for lymphoma. They propose an alternative treatment that targets lymphoma signaling at its root and show that this treatment can be effective in a broader group of patients.
