Methylation Profiling in Rhabdomyosarcoma

This “allocated fund in pediatric cancer research” was granted to Dr. Eva Brack (Pediatric Oncology Department, Inselspital, Bern) in December 2020.

BET – Bio-Engineering and Technology

This “allocated fund” was granted in October 2020 for the establishment of the BET lab at the heart of the AGORA – Pôle de recherche sur le cancer.

The Role of Androgen Receptor Signaling in Estrogen Receptor-Positive Breast Cancer

This « ISREC grant » was awarded to Andrea Agnoletto in September 2019 . Andrea Agnoletto is working in the lab of Prof. Cathrin Brisken, EPFL/SV/ISREC.

This “ISREC grant” was awarded to Silvia Podavini in August 2019. Silvia Podavini is working in the group of Professor Margot Thome Miazza (UNIL, Biochemistry Department).

Study of the Role of NFAT5 in Tumor-Specific CD8 T Cells

This “ISREC grant” was awarded to Daniela Cropp in April 2019 for four years. Daniela Cropp is performing her research in the lab of Dr. Grégory Verdeil (UNIL, Department of Fundamental Oncology).

Targeting tumor-infiltrating myeloid cells for prostate cancer therapy

This allocated fund in clinical research was granted in October 2020 to Prof. Andrea Alimonti and his research team (Institute of Oncology Research) for two years.

A Model of Care Based on Electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes for the Early Detection and Management of Immune-Related Adverse Events in Patients Under Immunotherapy: A Multicentric Phase II Randomized Controlled Trial (IePRO).

Prof. Dr. rer. Med. Manuela Eicher and Prof. Dr. med. Olivier Michielin have been awarded this “allocated fund for nursing research”, derived from a private donation, starting in November 2018.

This “Allocated Fund in oncogenic signaling” was granted in January 2019 to Prof. Reinhard Dummer (Department of Dermatology, University Hospital Zurich) and Prof. Lukas Sommer (Institute of Anatomy, University of Zurich) for 2 years.

ISREC grant “Translational Oncology “

Identification of molecular mechanisms underlying CIC-DUX4 tumor pathogenesis and aggressiveness

This “MD-PhD scholarship” was awarded to Arnaud Bakaric in November 2019 for a period of 1 year in support of his thesis in basic medical sciences, with a view to becoming a clinical scientist. Arnaud Bakaric is working in the laboratory of Prof. Nicolo Riggi, Institute of Pathology UNIL-CHUV.


November 2014 – October 2020

ISREC chair “Translational Oncology “

Decoding the genetics of lymphoma for the development of new therapies

This chair was allocated in November 2014 for a period of 6 years. It was awarded to the research group of Prof. Elisa Oricchio (EPFL/SV/ISREC).

ISREC grant “Cancer and Immunology”

Tumor-specific cytolytic CD4 T cells in protective immunity against human cancer

This “ISREC grant” was awarded to Amélie Cachot in Januar 2016 for four years.

This “allocated fund” from the Fondation de Bienfaisance Pictet was granted in September 2014 for 4 years. It was awarded to the research laboratories of Prof. Joerg Huelsken (EPFL/SV/ISREC). Collaboration between the EPFL and the Geneva University Hospital.

Immunomodulation of gastrointestinal sarcoma based on NK cell triggering
